Henry Pfister, 97, passed away Saturday February 13, 2010 at his home. Born in Plainfield, he resided in Middlesex for over 55 years.
Henry was formerly employed with Woods Printing Press in Middlesex. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. He was an avid NY Yankee Fan and Notre Dame fan. Mr. Pfister also fought golden gloves in 1935.
Mr. Pfister was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa who passed away in 2004. Surviving are his daughter Diane Pfister of Somerset; his son Henry Pfister and his wife Mary of Washington Township; his grandchildren, Devin Pfister, Emily Pfister and Brendan Pfister; his brother-in-law Thomas Rock of MD and his sister-in-law Pauline Rock of NC.
Funeral services will begin 10:15 am at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 followed by a 10:45 am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church in Middlesex. Entombment will be in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation hours are Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Henry’s name to the Grace Hospice, Raritan Plaza III, 105 Fieldcrest Ave., Suite 304 Edison, NJ 08837.
